IGV Austria is an interest group representing leading independent insurance brokers in Austria. Its business model is based on the principle of collaboration: IGV Austria pools the knowledge, experience, and negotiating power of its members to offer the best possible insurance and pension solutions for both private individuals and businesses.

In the insurance industry, large volumes of documents are processed on a daily basis. Insurance brokers often act on behalf of and with power of attorney for their clients, which means they must sign many applications independently. In 2024 alone, over 360,000 quotes were generated, resulting in around 50,000 applications. These figures alone clearly demonstrate the high demand for efficient digital processing.
For its corporate members, IGV developed the IGV Manager, which is a customised platform for comparing and calculating suitable insurance products. The digital signature solution was smoothly integrated into this application. As the use of digital signatures increases, IGV expects to speed up its internal processes and to increase efficiency and service quality with long-term effect.
Although IGV is still in the early stages of introducing digital signatures, around 5,000 digital signatures were already recorded last year – and the trend is clearly on the rise.
